30 knots at Playa Sur

Once again YES! YES! YES! We have 30 knots of wind, 15 meters high jumps and mast high waves in the bay of Playa Sur at high water! It is not common in El Medano. It is extraordinary!

Above that +25C in the air, +25C in the water and low season what means perfect conditiones nad not too crowdy on the water. As usual we have some nice pix and vid from 16th September 2017.

Big fight around the mark

Slowly but surely the wind is coming back to El Medano. This time is a light one but at least it is and promised to get stronger soon.

Anyway we have some nice pix from the slalom with boys fighting around the mark with 9+ square meters sails.

Well..., we have some problems with the wind, so sometimes we have to wake up before sunrise to catch him, as he likes to desapear later.

That's why on the 12th February 2017 we started to sail at 6:30 am.

It was, it is and it is going to be very windy in El Medano!!!

It was enough wind to sail 3,4 m2 sails! Just the helmet over water surface allowed our water photographer to do chicken jibes between waves. So we also have got some new photos.

Maybe it unbelievable but for last few days we have Calima and strong wind. Normally Calima (very hot and hazy weather) is windless but this time we have wind up to 40 knots and temperatures up to 35C!

It was just another really lovely evening at Playa Sur in El Medano: South West wind, not many people, flat water (not very common here) and Harco and Bartek from TWS Tenerife Windsurfing Solution Center testing new slalom toys.

Prima Aprilis is maybe a Fool's Day but for us it was just another really lovely evening at Playa Sur in El Medano: South West wind, not many people, flat water (not very common here) and nothing but fun.

You can't help it, wind is just blowing and blowing all the time. Now, day and night we have 3.7 weather. Only Andrea Cucchi is using 6.3 sail, but that's ultimate proof, he is not human. Other like Nico Akgazciyan F400 or Maciek Rutkowski MR23 are trying to survive with 3 something sails and 5 square meters kites.

For last few days the wind is blowing and blowing all the time, day and night we have 4.7 weather. Alex Mussolini is riping the waves and doing massive one handed and one footed back loops. Nico Akgazciyan F400 tries freestyle wave tricks and presents brand new equipment for 2014. Others try to follow them...

We also try to follow them with our camera so we have again lots of new photos which can be also seen in our first gallery and/or second gallery.

Polish'ing the Wall

No matter what, the wind is blowing and blowing all the time, day and night we have 4.0 weather.

That's why Polish boys are trying to polish the HArbour Wall in El Medano as much as they can. Riders from other countries are trying to help them as well.

Apart from selling pictures online we also offer dedicated sessions for our clients. It can be just for one client or up to three clients per one session. With 2 or 3 clients they share the time of session and therefore the price. At the same time there is more work then with just 1 client, so the price is higher.

All prices are per 1 hour of session. Price includes all the photos or videos done during session. To set the session just contact us.

Once again I had 30 minutes of swimming there and back + 10 minutes of wave washing + 5 minutes of asking myself why I am doing this self punishment + 20 minutes of taking videos = 4 minutes of video from above, below and the surface of the water... I can tell - this is hard job ;-)

On the 30th of October 2013 I had 30 minutes of swimming there and back + 10 minutes of wave washing + 5 minutes of asking myself why I am doing this self punishment + 15 minutes of taking videos = 2 minutes of video from above, below and the surface of the water... What a day! We started with surfing at Playa Americas, then the wind picked up so we moved to Playa Tejita for some kiteboarding and finaly we found ourselves windsurfing on Playa Medano.

No wind again, so because surfing and bodyboarding in Las Americas on Derecha, Izquierda and El Conquistador is always fun, we went there and had good time. Anyway there is nothing else to do as the wind still does not want to come.

It is truth that to have south-west wind is quite unique in El Medano but it is also nice to be back to normal North-East trade wind, so check it out!

It is truth that to have south-west wind is quite unique in El Medano but to have it for two days in a row is just great. It's more than a nice change instead of constant north-east trade winds blowing 300 days a year, it's 3style and gybing paradise as it means almost flat water in South Bay (El Cabezo is not working with that direction) and flat water means freestyle and neverending jibe festival, so check it out!
